An alleged Samsung Galaxy S23 FE would be on the way by the end of this year.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE was the latest model to be part of Samsung’s “Fan Edition” family of smartphones. In its day, it was a very popular device , offering high-end features at a competitive price, with the sole objective of establishing itself as a real alternative to high-end mobile phones from China.
And, although much has been said about the alleged disappearance of the Galaxy FE series, everything seems to indicate that its renewal is closer than we might expect . At least, this is suggested by a publication of South Korean origin , which affirms that there will be a new device of this family, whose launch will take place at some point towards the end of the year.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE would arrive in the second half of 2023
Since the beginning of the FE series, after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE , the company revealed that it intended to launch a new model of this family every year, with the idea of complementing its portfolio of flagships , this year made up of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra .
The first model in the series was quite successful, selling about 10 million units . Sales, however, slowed with the second edition, probably due to more limited availability and the fact that it arrived shortly before the Galaxy S22 series was introduced. Perhaps for that reason, Samsung decided to skip the Galaxy S22 FE and focus its efforts on the development of the Galaxy S23 series and the latest Galaxy A.
This year, however, everything could change. Sources close to the company’s plans point out that Samsung wants to launch the Galaxy S23 FE between the months of August and September of this year, perhaps coinciding with the arrival of the new Galaxy Z 5 series.
Although no details are known about this device, it is to be expected that Samsung will continue its strategy of making it a slightly trimmed version of the Galaxy S23, but still capable of competing in the budget high-end segment.
A model that we probably won’t get to see will be the Galaxy A74 . The same source assures that Samsung would have decided to pause the development of the Galaxy A70 series , and that this year only lower models will be presented, including the Galaxy S34 and Galaxy A54 .
